There are lots of legitimate reasons for this. By default we always assume they want privacy until we hear otherwise. I wish the marketing departments of every company in America extended the same courtesy. Being too careful is the right thing to do, here. But, of course it turns out this company is happy to publicly promote Maatkit, so it’s all good!

This is just great publicity for them and it is highly appreciated. Personnally I hate to think that two persons could loose time doing the same thing again because they don’t want to share/publish their work.
