The drivers may be obtained on Broadcom’s page at http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php . In order to build the module, one must have the kernel source built with corresponding modules located in /lib/modules then follow the instructions in the broadcom Readme.txt file, then update the initrd.img with the command update-initramfs -u -k 2.6.xx. I’ve done it several times now on different machines using the various broadcom devices and it works flawlessly.

I bought a new Dell Inspiron 13 last month and I have installed Ubuntu 8.10 with this. The problem is I am unable to use the wi-fi, is there are installation steps or drivers for this. Please help me with this.
e-Mail me to datchinamoorthi@yahoo.com

Thanks.

I can not do it… My bios can see 4Gb of memory, but XP 32 and Ubuntu 32 see only 2.6.

If I try to install interpid x64 it says something about memory hall and just holds on..

If I run memory test using live cd my computer stops to work from some time.

I have the same wireless card working, I will post the steps I got to get the free drivers working (and they actually work better!)
