I re-subscribed to Planet MySQL
I have calmed down after my frustration of a few days ago. My conscience says I was being unfair to Sun’s employees, who are just trying to make a business succeed in difficult times, and who support OpenSQL Camp, Maatkit, MySQL, and many other things that are dear to me. To those I treated harshly, I’m sorry. Just like email, blog posts are easy to publish and impossible to take back. I’ll try harder to keep that in mind in the future.

I agree with you. There’s too much sun promoting posts on the planetmysql.org You can find these headlines flashing with Sun, ZFS, Solaris keywords all over the place. And you are not the first one to notice this. It’s cool that they want to promote their business but they should really reduce the quantities and produce more quality :P

Perhaps you were unfair in calling them “marketing droids”,* but that doesn’t make their posts any more interesting.
So, you’ve resubscribed to the boring stuff out of guilt? I’m confused.
* I can’t confirm or reject this claim, as I do not follow the feed.

Heh, poor old Baron. So now you’ll have to read every post on planetmysql, lest anyone gets upset :-D
I’m an infoholic, and even then I only read about 50% of them.
