I'm pretty much completely unfamiliar with Zabbix, so I can't even estimate how much work it'd be. But I hope that someone wants to get involved in this. I think the foundation might even there to be able to generate templates for many different systems, given a little coding, so there is less redundancy. Anyone who wants to get involved should join the mailing list and discuss it.

Dangerd, I don't really know how to create Zabbix templates, so I can't say how much work that would be. But I probably wouldn't do it for free. I see a lot less demand for Zabbix than for Cacti. Still, it's worth talking about -- contact me via email if you like?

We are currently using Zabbix to monitor our databases, would it be possible to port these templates to Zabbix? Thanks for the great blogging and tips!!
