once OpenSQLCamp existed, there was no reason for MySQL Camp to keep on going — historically MySQL Camp was planned by MySQL employees (Jay, really!) even though the idea was to be company agnostic…..so once there was a truly community-based conference, the idea of MySQL Camp was just folded into Open SQL Camp.
